Competitive marching band programs like the Yulee High School Marching Sound of One (MS1) rely on "Fair-Share" contributions to ensure a successful competitive season. This collective support from band families provides an equitable way to share the costs for essential marching band expenses like expert instruction, equipment, maintenance, props, uniforms, travel, etc. Yulee High School provides less than 5% of our funding. The vast majority of our financial support comes from the dedicated efforts of the YBPA and parent participation. We strive to keep this cost as reasonable as possible while still providing a high-quality, competitive experience our students deserve.

We anticipate the fair-share contributions for each student to be

$700.00

It is important to understand that if even one family is unable to meet their Fair-Share after our financial assistance funds are gone, it will unfortunately require us to make funding cuts that affect the entire band program and the overall experience the kids get to enjoy.

We are deeply proud of the dedication and effort our students put in to the program. We are also proud of our school and our community, and we aspire to showcase this pride through exceptional musical performances. Your commitment to meeting your Fair-Share is essential in making it possible for us to maintain the standards and goals that we have set for our marching band program.

WHAT IS INCLUDED WITH FAIR SHARE CONTRIBUTION?:

The Fair Share contribution is a requirement for all marching band participants, including our dedicated color guard participants. It directly covers all Band Program Fees, The Formal Marching Uniform and the required Casual Uniform Package, which includes 1 band tee, 1 band show tee, 1 band hoodie, 1 ball cap, and 1 water bottle.

Working Together: Fair Share Financial Assistance

The Yulee Band Parent Association (YBPA) is a non-profit organization that deeply believes every student should have the chance to participate in the YHS's enriching marching band program, regardless of their family's financial situation. To support this commitment, we offer a Financial Assistance Program that can help cover a portion or the entirety of the expected Fair Share contribution.

As much as we would love to provide every band family with the resources to participate in the marching band program, please keep in mind that our resources are limited and we will focus those resources on those families who have a demonstrated need of assistance.

Your Time Matters!
Reducing Fair Share Costs Through Volunteering & Building a Stronger Band Experience

Your time truly matters, and it's one of the most powerful tools we have to ensure a thriving and affordable band program for our students. By generously volunteering your time at concession booths, special events like ShrimpFest, and on our fundraising and sponsorship committees, you directly contribute to the financial health of our band. The more support we have through volunteer efforts, the more money we can raise, which in turn directly impacts and helps reduce the Fair Share contribution amounts for everyone.

But volunteering is about more than just dollars and cents; it's about building a stronger band experience for our students and fostering a vibrant community for our parents and families. Whether you're a parent, student, family member, or a supportive community member, we welcome you to sign up for volunteer opportunities, make a donation, or become a sponsor.

Every hour you contribute and every dollar raised helps us provide the best MS1 band experience possible for our students. Click below to get involved – your time and support make a real difference! Parents, Students, Family Members, & Community Members are welcome to sign up for volunteering opportunities, donate, and sponsor our Band.
